Outdoor Class Laboratories and Course-Related Field Trips

There is nothing having class outdoors (ask any Geology major).  Some would argue that going outside and seeing real-world examples leaves the student with the  longest-lasting impressions of natural scientific phenomena.  At the very least, field trips provide a welcome break in the lecture sequence of a course.  Please click on the links below to view  photographs of students learning great science in the field:
