Our new subcontract with Pasadena City College enabled us to offer a unique shared Geology/Environmental Biology field experience in Hawaii in the summer of 2012. A group of undergraduate students from both departments ran a seismic experiment on Kilauea volcano and made measurements in a wet forest and the Pu’u Wa’awa’a Experimental Forest Unit. We also visited many sites of geological and biological interest around the island.
